I think we got Austin saying his first "When will I ever use this?" in school this year. For third grade English, Austin spends time daily diagramming sentences. He is doing a great job in English and we can all understand why he would ask this question in regards to diagramming.

Tell your son I'm incredibly proud of him...diagramming sentences is a lost art! Although, the number of times that he can actually showcase these skills are like almost uncountable...because unless he teaches English one day like me, he'll probably never use them! However, they may come in handy when he gets around to writing the great American novel.
