When the "box guy" comes....

We jump up and down, call Aunt Nar and scream thank yous in the phone.

The little lady tries on outfit after outfit after outfit.

The little guy plays with the boxes and wants us to close the lid on him (he thinks that's cool).

And finally we spread paint out, everywhere, and make a masterpiece on the box. That's what we do when the 'box guy' comes to our house....

A Field Trip to NBC 17

This fall Lindsey was a part of a weather co-op class. She just had the best time and at the end we all had a field trip to the news station in Raleigh. Of course the tour was guided by the weather man and the kids (and parents) loved it.

Reece, Cailey, and Lindsey outside.

Here the kids were given the words that the tele-prompter gives the news anchors.

Reece just loved seeing himself on t.v. He's in the red coat with his eyes glued on the t.v. screen.

All the kids, and some siblings, from the weather co-op.

Supper time bliss

Yep....this picture is not too easy to undertand - or really see with all of the 'white' going on. But this picture (along with the white slowcooker in back) is such an exciting thing to our family and has been a blessing for a couple of weeks. These are freezer meals that I made with the ladies from my life class. Jen hosted, organized, and bought all the food for us to make 7 meals for our families. I've never seen so many chicken breasts in my life! The early prep gals arrived at 6p.m. and the rest of us came at 7p.m. We assembled our meals (with a partner) at 7 different stations and were pretty much done by 9p.m. I was a part of the clean up crew and yet was home by around 10p.m. Thanks SO MUCH Jen - for organizing this!

This morning

This picture was taken at breakfast when I cheerfully announced that we would only have school two days this week. Yes, for some reason, I did expect jumping up and down and some hoots and hollers. Instead Lindsey cried and said, "I want to do school every day!" I HAD to snap a picture so I can remind her of this when she actually doesn't want to do school some day. I could do school every day this week, but Mommy at least needs a little break.

It's not Halloween...

Our kids LOVE going to a certain restaurant for their family nights and you never know what they'll have for the kids. The kids love it and Grandma loves to spoil them with this treat. I honestly didn't recognize Reece when he came back to our table. Lindsey was the one that convinced Reece that face painting is fun. He loved it so much that he didn't want to wash it off before bed. Such a mean Mommy, I was, to have him wash it all off.

Breaking News: It Snowed, Today, In Raleigh

It was the funniest thing. Austin, Lindsey, Reece and I were settling down - on the couch - to read a zoo book about bats. All of a sudden Austin shouts: "IT'S SNOWING!" Oh me of little faith says: "No it's not." But the temptation was too strong and I had to peek out the window. Sure enough we were having "flurries". So, in the midst of our Science reading, we jumped up and ran to the deck and here are the kids enjoying the '2 minute snow flurry'. :) (If you look close enough -there really are snow flakes on Lindsey's hair)

Banana Split Heaven

A few nights ago we had some friends over and here are the kids eating up their banana splits. Much to my friend's (Heather) chagrin, this is the only picture I took that evening. For after we were all 'high' on sugar I challenged Heather to some bowling and tennis on the Wii. The pictures that would have been cute (I know, I know Heather) would be all six of these kids lined up on our couch and cheering for their Moms as we bowled. We are talking hoots and hollering and jumping up and down, etc. Well......to MY chagrin, I only beat Heather by one extra pin and she had NEVER even played the Wii before. There WILL be a rematch in the future!

Playing in the leaves.

What you can't see is that I was balanced precariously-on a hill- throwing leaves, on the kids, while Heather snapped these photos. It was sometimes hard to get candid shots because the kids thought they needed to always smile at the camera. You can certainly tell that Lindsey forgot about the camera while I was covering her with leaves.

The Megilligan Kids

Here the three are all together just having a ball! I'm gonna need to pick out photos for Brian's office, the house, Christmas gifts for both families, I'd like to wall paper a few rooms with these......OH MY! I may have to put this on a 'monthly budget' and spread out the joy. If anyone has a favorite of them all together or the separate photos--- please help me decide! Just list your favorites as either 1,2,3, or 4. I'd love to have some help! :)

The Many Looks of Austin

Austin did such a great job posing for Heather. He was always concerned that he smiled just right for her. Sometimes all three would try 'too' hard and get that "fake smile" look. I didn't know how to get them to be natural (peek a boo doesn't work any more at this age :) but Heather knew how to 'work her magic'.
