Sunday Afternoon

Granted, we were supposed to get one extra hour of sleep last night, but Austin and Lindsey had to sing in all three church services this morning. They went into church as early as Daddy does. Reece couldn't go back to sleep and it bothered him, to no end, that the clocks weren't all the same. So Reece and I were up early. Everyone was recovering from a sugar coma and yet the kids were dying to play Austin's new electronic Monopoly game after church.

If anyone has played Monopoly, you know how LONG the games go on. Basically forever. These kids have a good Daddy, because - as tired as he was on this Sunday afternoon - he sat down to play Monopoly. It is still set up to play throughout the week because we all like to barter, negotiate properties, and we are all very competitive to get several houses on our land as well. So....for this family....Monopoly DOES seem to never end.

That was SO sweet of Brian to give up his nap! I must say I LOVE board games but for some reason have never like Monopoly....maybe it's because it takes so long:)!

Electronic Monopoly -- seriously, life is really changing. Love the comment about how Reece was bothered by "clock inconsistency." I feel his pain -- came home from my 12, no 13 hour shift this morning, and found that Kevin only changed the "analog" clocks -- evidently couldn't figure out the Up and Down buttons on the oven, microwave, stereo, and my iPod home. Drives me insane, but he means well!

You aren't kidding! Monopoly really does take forever! That's a good idea to play the game throughout the week...
